If you’ve ever found yourself repeating Bible verses like a formula and still feeling stuck, this conversation will challenge you in the best way. I’m Chaplain Terry Warner, and I’m starting a new adventure on confessing the Word not as religious noise, but as a prayer practice that changes the person praying. Instead of constant requesting, I’m inviting you to bring Scripture into your mouth and your daily life until it starts reshaping your heart from the inside out.

We camp in Joshua 1:7-9 where God links strength, courage, wisdom, and “good success” to a simple discipline: don’t let the Word depart from your mouth, and meditate on it day and night. Then we turn to Hebrews 4:12 to remember why this works the Word is alive, powerful, and precise, able to expose what’s really driving us. I also talk about how words act like containers, carrying pictures into your mind, will, and emotions, and why emotions alone can’t be trusted to steer a faithful, steady life.

We also get honest about love. God doesn’t need love to become real because He already is love, but we need to stay in love when pressure hits. That’s why the “inner man” has to change, and why confession isn’t about hype it’s about formation. If you want a closer walk with Jesus, stronger daily discipline, and a clearer way to pray, press play, subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more people can find it.

Why Confession Beats Repeating Verses

SPEAKER_00

Hello, friend. Chaplain Terry Warner here. We're going to start a new adventure today about confessing the word. I mean, we have a lot of podcasts and articles on confession and say the verses and repeat this and repeat that. And for most of us, we go along shouting and yelling and repeating verses and that trying to impress God so that He'll work on our behalf. And we've been missing it. A lot of us have. Some people get by with that. I'm not one of them. So anyway,

Joshua 1 And Meditating Daily

I decided to change up a little bit, and we're going to talk about confessing the word, but we're going to back it up with verses and scriptures and we're going to make confessions in our prayer life rather than request. So let's get going. This will be season 2026, episode number 19. Only be strong and of a most valiant courage, so that you may observe and do according to all the law which Moses, my servant, has commanded you. You shall not turn away from it to the right hand or to the left, so that you may be wise wherever you go. Let not this book of the Torah, our teaching, depart out of your mouth, but meditate on it day and night, so that you may be observed and do according to all that is written therein. For then you shall make your way prosperous and you shall have good success. I think about the Proverbs as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. What's in your heart? Gun smoke, TV, ads, commercials. You know, it's it's nice to listen to Christian music and Christian radio station. But you're gonna have to get beyond that and go deeper than that if you want a really close professional walk with Jesus. Have I not commanded you, saying, Be strong and of good courage. Do not fear or be discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1 7 through 9. That's the revised Geneva translation. For the word, Jesus is alive and full

of power, making it active, operative, energizing, and effective. It is sharper than a two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life, the soul, and the immortal spirit of joints and marrow of the deepest parts of our nature, exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart. Hebrews 4 12 amplified. Words are containers. They carry pictures to your mind, the mind, your will, your brain, and your emotions. You might tack on your feelings.

Words Shape Will Mind Emotions

SPEAKER_00

Your will is a marvelous creation, but it is useful to motivate your physical facilities so that you can have meaning and direction in your life. The brain or the mind is a step up from your will and lets you process the incidents or activities that require mental but not physical attribute. You're gonna have to get to the past the point of doing the same thing every day. You you're gonna have to get that. If you you know, all right, let's say you wanna look better physically, then get a picture of a model that you like that thin is pretty or handsome or whatever, and put it on the mirror. And every morning you look at that and say, I am getting more handsome, I am getting prettier as each day goes by. Because it's not the pictures of a handsome person or a pretty lady, it's the thought and mental process that changes the character inside you. Or in other words, once you've been born again, your soul is is goes is has oh sorry, got tongue tied there. Once you've been born again, your soul is going to take on the image that your heart feeds it, your mind, your will, and emotion. You want to be rich, then you're gonna have to focus on money and you gotta focus on it in the correct way. If you want to be successful or recognized, you've got to have something more than just physical effort. It doesn't work uh that just physical effort. Unfortunately, our emotions are wishy-washy and not dependable for sound and directive life issues. However, we are created with words or containers of information by God, trying to use our physical abilities and knowledge to operate, control, and lead our lives in a disaster. Let's see if I quote credit some of that so I get the right credit to that. I didn't read it all, but I was in Isaiah 9 6 amplified, Isaiah 25 1, Isaiah 40 verses 9 through 11, Matthew 28, 18, Luke 2, verse 11, Jeremiah 31, 22, Micah 5, 3 and 5. Stop and think about this.

Inner-Man Change Love And Genesis

SPEAKER_00

God does not need this. He already is this, love. And he doesn't he doesn't need it, he is love. We need it. And we walk in love up till something happens, and then we walk out of love and wonder why our our prayers and stuff are not answered. You've got to get that inner man changed, and that's the difficult part. Difficult but not impossible, and not difficult once you understand that it's words. This let's just start back at the very beginning in Genesis. God created the heavens and the earth, and he then he separated the waters from the land. Then he brought it forth trees and plants and everything. Then he brought forth animals. Then he got everything done completely and looked at it, and he said, It is very good. Why did he do that? Because he was making a place for Adam and Eve. And they were put in a garden. Adam was given a job, work, and he was to take care of the garden. And Eve was to be the mom and the mother. And God would have a family of Christian, little Christ. All right, I gave you an introduction. That's what we're going to be facing for the next few weeks. And get ourselves together and growing in the Lord. You have a blessed day in Jesus' name. Amen.
