Paul wrote “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” while he was chained and living under the uncertainty of Nero, and that detail changes how I hear the verse. Daily Decree Number Four is a short, focused Christian devotional that anchors your day in Scripture, starting with Job 22:27–28 and a simple faith confession from Philippians 4:13 that pushes back on fear, pressure, and shifting circumstances.

We also sit with Philippians 4:19 and ask a question many believers quietly wrestle with: what did God mean by “his riches and glory in Christ Jesus”? When we hear “riches,” it’s easy to put money first, as if a bigger bank balance would automatically unlock bigger obedience. I talk through why God’s provision is larger than cash, why “needs” and “wants” get tangled, and why stewardship and service belong in the same conversation as prayer and faith.

From Psalm 100:2, “Serve the Lord with gladness,” I share a direct challenge I believe the Holy Spirit impressed on my heart: live by the Word, not by your circumstances. That leads into a practical framework for joy (Jesus, Others, You), a call to stop absorbing broke and sick thinking, and a reminder of the God who fed thousands with five loaves and two fish and still had leftovers. If you need encouragement, Bible study motivation, or a reset in Christian living, this one is built to be replayed.

Hello friend, Chaplin Terry Warner here. This will be Daily Decree number four. I've changed the format a little bit. Let me know how you like it. That way I can change it around for you. This one has no music at all. It's just me and the podcast. It's not very long, so let's get going.

Daily Decree And Foundation Scripture

Daily decree number four. Your foundation scripture is Job 22, verses 27 and 28. Your daily decree, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4.13, King James Version.

Paul’s Chains And God’s Provision

SPEAKER_00

This verse from Philippians and written by Paul under the direction of the Holy Spirit, Paul is chained to a Roman guard, Praetorian guards of Nero, and living in uncertainty under Nero's whims. And my God will meet all your needs according to his riches and glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians four nineteen NIV.

Rethinking “Glorious Riches”

SPEAKER_00

Have you ever wondered exactly what God meant by his glorious riches? Why is it, when we think this way, that money usually is at the top of the list? If we only had enough money, we would do so much more for the Lord. This morning, in my quiet time, the Holy Spirit dealt with me about certain things, but the next few paragraphs I believe will help you also.

Live By The Word

SPEAKER_00

Psalm one hundred verse two. Serve the Lord with gladness. Come into his presence with singing. That's ESB version. I was meditating on this when I heard the Holy Spirit say to me, My son, learn to live by my word and not by your circumstances.

JOY And Serving Others First

SPEAKER_00

You see, our needs are fulfilled and met by serving others, not by filling our lap with money for our wants. If you need God to help you make more money, then learn to manage what you do have so you can help others. There is an old acronym for joy, and it is this Jesus, others and you. We never see Jesus asking God for more of anything. If

Abundance, Character, And Bad Theology

SPEAKER_00

you are a believer in Jesus Christ, then the Spirit Himself testifies with our Spirit that we are God's children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and co heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may share in his glory. Since we are God's children, then we should be living in abundance and helping others with the aid of the Holy Spirit and showing others by example of character and daily task how to defeat the devil and his cohorts that are causing you to live in lack, need, and other things. You are telling the creator of the universe he didn't deal to mankind fairly when he instructed Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and bless everything. Instead we go around and tell others that it was God who made them sick, so he could teach them something, that we are broke, downtrodden, frail, and weak, so we can be humble. Friend, what kind of a father would do that? My God is kind, compassionate, loving, and more than enough. Quit listening to the broke, sick, and needy, and start reading the
